Your English Is Not the Problem

You know enough English. So why are you still holding back?

A free 4-part audio series that reveals what's really stopping you from speaking up and being yourself in English, and what to do instead.

You've put in the work. You've spent years on and off improving your English. You can read it, write it, understand it when other people speak.

So why are you still rehearsing sentences in your head before saying them, and by the time you're ready, the conversation has moved on?

Why are you still saying "sorry, my English isn't good..." before you've even started speaking?

Why do you avoid the networking event entirely, or stand at the edge of it, because small talk in English feels like a test you haven't prepared for?

Something isn't adding up.

If the problem was more language, more language would have fixed it by now.

But it hasn't.

So if it's not your English, what is it?

That's exactly what this podcast reveals.

Because once you understand what's actually been happening, everything else, the rehearsing, the apologising, the staying quiet even though you've got something worth saying, finally makes sense.

And more importantly, you'll know what actually needs to change.

Here's what you'll discover in the four episodes:

Episode 1: You Already Have the English

The real reason you're staying quiet has nothing to do with vocabulary, grammar, or how much English you know. By the end of this episode, you'll understand what's actually been holding you back.

Episode 2: Stop Waiting, Start Speaking

Why waiting until you feel ready keeps you stuck in the same loop. And the one thing that changes everything.

Episode 3: Why Staying Quiet Feels Safer

The hidden beliefs making you treat every English conversation like a test you haven't revised for, and why mistakes mean far less than you think they do.

Episode 4: You Can't Think Your Way to Confidence

Why knowing what's holding you back isn't the same as changing it in real life. And what actually needs to happen for you to finally trust yourself and speak up.

This isn't another English course

  • I'm not going to give you more vocabulary lists or teach you grammar rules you already know.

  • And I'm definitely not going to tell you to "just be more confident" and leave you to figure out how on your own.

What I am going to do is show you what's actually been holding you back.

Why the approach you've been trying hasn't worked.

And give you a much clearer picture of what needs to happen next if you want to finally sound like yourself in English.

Why I made this

I'm Lisa, and for years I believed the same thing you probably believe right now: that I needed more vocabulary and better grammar before I could speak confidently.

Then I realised I'd been working on the wrong thing the entire time.

Now I work with intermediate and advanced level professionals who have good English but still hold back in the meetings, the presentations, the career moments that actually matter.

This podcast is for anyone who is full of ideas in their own language, and goes completely quiet the second the conversation switches to English.

Not because they don't know enough. Because something else is getting in the way.

If you're done staying quiet when you've got something worth saying, this podcast is for you.
